You begin on a patch of flowers, having fallen into the world of the monsters for reasons unknown. The game focuses on our main protagonist, a fallen human who appears to be a young child. Once upon a time, both races ruled over earth, but a conflict revolving around SOULs lead to a war the humans claimed victory, thus sealing the monsters underground using a seemingly unbreakable barrier. The opening sequence introduces us to the tragic tale of Humans and Monsters. Undertale is an RPG created by Toby Fox it was released on September 15, 2015, and almost instantly became a big hit.
